In 1991 the redesign of the Chevrolet Caprice Classic won Motor Trends brass calipers as the car of the year. Great for Chevrolet but little did the public know, there was a'Mean Ass Step Sister'on her way to steal the show...!!
Surprisingly, this full sized American V8 powered Luxoboat had morphed into the Next Iconic Chevrolet Impala SS.
1996 brought the first change of the Impala SS, outside of the color that is. Sales remained pretty strong and Chevrolet decided to make this big beauty a true sports sedan by adding a center console with shifter, as well as new analog gauges.
The Impala SS is, and will always remain an Icon and a symbol of days gone by when Big American Muscle ruled the streets and "Complicated Simplicity" was at it's best.. It is still one of the best road cars you will ever find for a long trip. If you are in the Market for one, just make sure you do your homework and make sure it hasn't been used for racing, and watch out for upgrades to the engine and the suspension.
As good as this may look, if you ever plan on selling, lets just use it as an example of wutnot2du...
In the mean time, as long as the Impala SS keeps running and jumping, just let it do it's thing and allow the Giant to keep wearing em out! And when he wants to sleep, Hell, let em sleep!! Do the Damn thang Impala!
