The new Volkswagen Golf for 2013. ..As if it could get any better.
It is a car that has had (and still does have) more configurations than the Space Shuttle. Walking through a Volkswagen lot, the feeling can go from humble, to mild, to outrageous in a matter of seconds. Whether you choose the diesel with it's nearly 50mpg or the turbo four, you are going to get one of the best driving, best riding, most competent hatchback that can be found in the market today.
The design that never goes out..
Let's tee off...
Most of our readers look for maximum comfort, maximum reliability and maximum miles per gallon. Go with the GTI or the R and expect a combined 19-24mpg, (They are the gashogs.) Yes you get the added performance and upgraded goodies, but it all comes at a price. Go with the base gasoline engine(s) and expect a good 35mpg combined, and go with the diesel and expect 43mpg combined, 49mpg on the highway and no it's not a hybrid. Great idea that VW is low-balling the fuel figures to, after all the trouble Hyundai, Kia, and Honda have been in lately. The diesel is capable of running over 600miles per tank full, so you do the math, sounds stellar to me..!
