SHO me the way...
The Ford Taurus SHO
lets go to the bank.....
Just looking at this engine for what it is worth, we think that this is one of the best engines ever created for a car. Ford Motor Co. was to build the lower half and send it to Yamaha for the upper guts, but decided later that it would be more cost effective if they just allowed Yamaha to handle it and boy did they. Hey mommy, what's Sleeper.....?
This is the first Version of the Super Taurus introduced in 1989
Problems: Owners complaints included Rough shifting, rough Idle at start, Speedometer reverberation, power steering pump and power steering component failure. There were also many complaints about having to replace the brakes, warped rotors and front strut failures well before 24,000 miles, and the never ending Transmission Failure stories. Other non mechanical complaints included the drivers seat being too short and had a tendency to have lack-luster support. That aside, everyone raved about how well the whole package worked together. A fast hot-rod that doubles as a family Hauler and can still pick up the groceries. At autofrenzy.net think it was more than an excellent effort.. As a matter of fact this car is still on the most wanted list... Driving one comes with a reminder attached however. There is a caution attached to the steering wheel that has to keep reminding the driver however to Stop SHO-ing out, because this car reall is all go and all SHO...!
Thanks for reading this months blast from the Past.. Till next time from autoFrenzy.net, this is Dre', reminding you to keep your hands on the wheel and your feet on the gas. Deuces..!
