Wow.. Look at that great feat of German engineering and all for less than $30,000..! Hell yea I'll take it, after all it's beautiful..
Seats made specifically to keep four folks riding in comfort
...and the problem with super models
Ever known a very good looking person that seemingly had it all together from afar, took them home and got with them for a one on one and found out that they were just completely f#@ked up in the head and had major issues..? Well just keep reading..
It wasn't very long after the sales of the CC started, so did the complaints.. Crazy feeling brakes, complicated hood latches, lousy tires, EGC lights, engine failure due to the use cheaper oil pumps and water pumps, faulty rain sensing windshield wipers, sudden acceleration, (mainly due to driving with the cruise control on but still no excuse for cars today), fuel injector failure causing many cars to tremble as they attempted to get their buyers where they needed to go, and the biggest complaint of them all was the use of the Tiptronic Transmissions.. There are reports from Germany to California of some that failed along with the fuel pumps and fuel injectors with as little as one thousand miles on the odometer.. ABSOLUTELY TRAGIC...!
Shamefully this became the picture stuck in the heads of owners and drivers alike, as many Volkswagen Passat CC's sat on the side of the road awaiting a tow.
The car did continue to improve and the complaints are not where they once stood. I'm sure Volkswagen is elated, and in 2012 for the 2013 model, the CC got a new face to keep up with the lineup, however if you ask me, it took a lot of the personality and character away from the frontal design of the car.
