Escaped from Ford, the Escape..
Much better designs straight out of... Europe..?
In 2007 the Ford Motor Company started the development of this little crossover called the Ford Kuga.
Cool crossover for the company who put the best selling Ford Escape on the market, touted as the best selling mini-ute with the best fuel mileage in a crossover to boot!
And the Ford Kuga was born..

The 2013 Ford Escape
The photo below is the closest we have to the finished model. Ford is still being extremely guarded about a lot of the specs, (but by the time you read this, a lot more information and will be available.) Word is the magic mileage number is around 27mpg combined and it is said to be propelled by the company's optional 2.0litre twin turbo-charged engine. There will be other engine choices, but don't expect a six.
Prices for the NEXT ESCAPE have not been announced, but we expect it to start around $17,900 and top out with all options about $27,900. The Ford Motor Company is on a roll and coming out with great project, after great project and the general public seems to agree with them. Great sales for the Focus, Fiesta, Mustang and Explorer. We also hear that the quality is up, but the jury is still out on that.. Most of the complaints about the FoMoCo's reliability gap today have to do with their developed with Sony, SYNC System. However in our eyes it is more of an annoyance than anything else. We do believe that a little bit more time should have gone into the development of that system. We just thank goodness that the problems thus far are not mechanical... Nice catch and punt return Ford.. Anyway, that's our futureShock for the month, and until next time from autoFrenzy.net this is Dre' reminding you to keep your hands on the wheel and your feet on the gas! Deuces..!! (that means goodbye!)
And if you own a Ford escape of any year please leave us a comment on how well it has held up for you. We searched for common problems in this truck and found that they all varied from Vehicle to vehicle.
