..and now comes the CTS..!
Art and science at it's very best, the Cadillac Motor Division of GM is simply on fire, burning more rubber and taking no prisoners.
Expect a majority of the work to be done by GM's corporate 3.6 liter V6 engine, and expect the all important fuel numbers to be 21mpg city and 31mph on the highway. There is also a 2.0 liter Turbo four, (one of the best on the market), and talk of a four cylinder 2.5w/E-Assist getting 28mpg city and 37mpg highway that will be the "Green Machine".. As for now, there are no plans of a Coupe version for the next CTS, however the current numbers of the CTS Coupe will indeed justify a new one. There is also a new model in the works that will fit between the V-6 and the V-Series called the V-Sport. It's a Twin-Turbocharged version of the 3.6 liter able to achieve up to 431 horsepower. I really can't see the reason or the need for a V8.. Expect Cadillac's CUE entertainment System, a new 8 Speed Automatic Transmission w/Auto-shift to be introduced later on. A 6-Speed Manual will still be an option, as well as All Wheel Drive with Active Cruise, Active Suspension, and everything you can imagine putting in a Luxury Sports Sedan in order to help it take over the Luxury Sports Car market..
