Dodge's Pussycat straight outta hell!
2009 Dodge Challenger SRT
Dodge Challenger Update:
Even with the sparse, simple yet very solid and retro themed interior it is hands down my favorite ponycar..
And those best in class seats and seating space certainly don't hurt it either..
Update: In late 2009 Dodge decided that It was going to be changing platforms and was moving to a shorter and more competitive oriented coupe that was more in line with the competition, (Mustang and Camaro).. I was so pissed off with Chrysler for that announcement that I did something that I rarely do.. I wrote a letter to them.
We were told that Dodge would just let the Challenger die a slow death, but when you got the perfect product, sometimes you can't help but to tweak it, and so they did..
Introducing the newly re-designed 2015 Dodge Challenger
And then.... Much to the autoworlds surprise
Luckily the best Challenger ever is going to be around until at least 2017.. The Chrysler Group has also decided that is going to sell side by side with it's new stablemate. That's right, the fish from hell, aka, "the SRT Barracuda", and at least for the first few years.. ..Anyway that's what they are telling us now...
You can expect the 2015 Dodge Challenger to literally "Come Wit It"!! There is said to be no shortage of new gimmicks and hardware for this beast, including the set it and forget it cruise control that will keep you at a comfortable distance from other car that you are trailing and even brake for you if needed. Chrysler's fantastic and easy to use touch screen Nav system w/ Mp3 and apps capability is one of the simplest to use in the industry.. Touchable and physical technology.. Something all of the cars in this class were sorely missing, and ain't that all we wanted....
Now I'm sure that these questions will come up later.. Is it faster than the Camaro..? Can it outrun and out corner the Mustang? I'm going to give you the same answer that I gave you two years ago.. Whoo in the hell cares..?!?! I, just like 98 percent of the world, don't live at a damn race track, so I don't care..! However, what I do care about is how it runs.. Is it comfortable both in the city and on long trips..? Is it relatively frugal to operate..? Is it reliable..? Is it fun to be in..? And the last question that is the most important, Do I look good in it..? Now that we got the bases covered I think it's time to ride..
We will have a full assault on your senses as soon as we can get our dirty little hands on this horse, until then this is Dre' reminding you to keep your hands on the wheel and your feet on the gas.. Thanks again for reading..
